Hezhou Buns are well known for fine dough and stuffing. They are divided into Baozi (buns), Hezi and Jiaomo. The stuffing of Hezi, commonly made of sugar and walnut, is exposed; Jiaomo is shaped like a triangle or a half-moon and there are sugar Jiaozi, jujube Jiaozi,
or vegetable Jiaozi, etc. Baozi has wrinkles in the top of the dough. The stuffing of Hezhou Buns is made of beef or mutton and chives, carrots or white radish. The buns are steamed before drizzling pepper oil on them. The oil is gold and the buns are white. They look crystal and taste refreshing and delicious.
